Nature of Incident:	Odor of marijuana leads to hidden drugs

Incident Summary:
On June 28, 2008 at about 10 P.M. officers were handing an incident at the Choice Outlet. Officers noted that a customer had the strong odor of marijuana on his clothing. When speaking with the man and walking with him to the vehicle he was in, officers noted an even stronger scent of marijuana coming from inside the passenger compartment. The driver, Forrest Ryan, gave consent for officers to search his vehicle. Officers found that the gear shift housing had been altered so that Ryan could hide his drugs. Officers found approx. $500.00 in cocaine, $200.00 in marijuana, scales, packaging materials, and various other drug equipment. Officers also seized $280.00 in cash from Ryan. Ryan was arrested and transported to central booking for arraignment. Ryan was released from York County Prison after posting $5000.00 bail.
