Nature of Incident:	Thefts and attempted thefts from motor vehicles and thefts from mailboxes

Incident Summary:
Southern Regional Police are investigating a series of thefts and attempted thefts from motor vehicles that occurred on 08/23/06 into 08/24/06. Mailboxes were also entered and it appears that actor(s) were looking for outgoing mail in the mailboxes.  All cars entered were unlocked and items taken were coins and music CD's. Residents are advised to lock their vehicles at all times and take outgoing mail directly to the post offices.
