Nature of Incident:	Fire Investigation

Incident Summary:
At 1911 Hrs. 09/23/2008, Police were dispatched to the area E. Main St. for a report of smoke or fire. A Patrol Officer immediately observed fire in the area. Upon arrival, flames were showing from a third floor dormer of the residence. Patrol Officer assisted in removing occupants from the residence. Fire Department personnel quickly extinguished the fire. The residence of 14 E. Main St. sustained damage from fire, smoke and water and the adjoining residence at 12 E. Main St. sustained damage from smoke and water. State Police Fire Marshal assisted with the investigation. Investigation found the fire to be accidental as a result of careless handling of smoking materials by one of the occupants. No injuries were sustained as a result of the fire.
