Incident Summary:
Southern Regional Police are investigating a bank robbery at the Peoples Bank, 26 E. Main St. in New Freedom that occurred on Monday 12/03/07 at 10:45 a.m. The robber handed a bank teller a note that claimed he had a bomb and demanded cash. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area in a dark colored car. The robber is described as a white male in his mid 20s to mid 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a blue baseball cap and dark colored pants. Anyone with information is asked to contact Southern Regional Police at 717-235-3944.
